The Writing (To Heal) Course is actually a retreat facilitated by Dr. Atiya. It is a 12-week process with one session per week. The journey helps the participant to use writing to push through change, pain, or loss. This course is a one-to-one course or group.
Writing is a powerful tool used in healing. The process itself activates internal mental and physical healing effects. While the power is in the mind, the pen and paper is the vehicle to move issues to a safe healing space. What people find challenging to say verbally, one can say by penning and it is through that manner of self-expression that one is able to find the necessary release and to let go in order to become more whole. The Writing (To Heal) Course helps the participant to discover their inner healing voice and summon the power of their own unique expression to speak life into their circumstances with the power of the pen.
OBJECTIVES:
- Examine why writing is an effective healing tool and modality in metaphysical science and experience it first hand.
- Help the participant discover and use their own inner healing voice to transform their life.
- Describe how writing impacts one’s physical and mental health and ways to effectively use it to address individual circumstances as well as improve one’s overall state of health and wellbeing.
- Provide a platform for the participant to construct a legacy by defining personal mission, vision, values, life lessons, turning points in life, and epiphanies.

- A deeper understanding of writing as a healing modality.
- Clarity of inner healing voice, and how to activate it to resolve personal issues.
- Knowledge of how to use writing to minimize stress, release negative emotions constructively, and let go of pain and hurtful feelings.
- How to use writing as a tool to support the building of healthy relationships based on openness and transparency.
- Experience healing first hand through the power of writing.
